The Simple Art of Creating Space for Pleasure.
Wisdom we all tend to overlook. The power and the impact of the subtle.
( It's simple and silly but you can do this too, and it will make the world of difference)
Create space to do more of what feels good to you.
It's silly how simple this practice is,
but when it really lands with you and you embody it, you will 100% become more of the person that you want to become.
Because the person you want to become does more of what feels good to you, right?
This is especially true when it comes down to what I call "I and I."
I and I is a way of relating to the world as everything being of one true nature.
I also consider it,
Intimacy and Impact.
We are all after creating deeper intimacy with our selves, our purpose, our creativity, God, and the people we love.
We also yearn to have deeper impact on these as well.
Intimacy and Impact occurs when you allow yourself the freedom of pleasure.
Against what the growth mindset gurus say,
I've found in my own life as well as in the transformation of many that suffering is optional.
Pain is inevitable, it is linked to the body.
Suffering is optional because it is stories of past pain perpetuated in the mind.
We don't need to suffer in order to live the lives we want to live.
Your Hero's Journey of Heroine's Journey will definitely pass through a dark valley, and there will hardship and obstacle,
but you don't need to attach your identity to those stories even when you prevail.
Here is the secret that the gurus don't share, and perhaps have not yet embodied
(in which case, Gurus, this will be very helpful for you)
What is Sustainable, must be Pleasurable.
If space is not created to delight about your journey, you will be far less likely to sustain your journey.
Esoterically, you certainly don't want to follow a path incited via shame and guilt, for the energy of the path creates more of itself.
Delight begets delight.
Guilt begets guilt.
Hardship will ensue, but the energy you have made space to create upon your path will determine how you feel persevering through that hardship.
(Hint: save yourself and skip the guilt)
Do more of what feels good for you.
- Timeless wisdom
- subtle choices
- huge impact.
